Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis
The video Metamorphosis, made in 2010, was re-edited in a flip book measuring 2.8X4 centimeters which was exhibited inside the “pocket Gallery”, a small black box of the same size representing a hand portable gallery, created by the gallerist Mattehew Broussard. In this video/flip book, the artist tells the story of a woman who, while visiting an art gallery and watching a painting of Fontana, all of a sudden begins a metamorphosis of both her body and soul. As we can see, while her personal belongings and all her problems disappear, her whole body is surrounded by white soft bubbles and in a second she turns into a Greek column, which is a symbol of the classical period and of independence. All the decapitated heads rolling around her feet, portraying the men who did not love her, suggest us that, through this transformation, she has now become the central pillar of her existence. Then, she tuns into a baroque female figure with a Chihuahua dog running around her feet, which is a symbol of extreme frivolity. Afterward, she turns into a skyscraper pierced by various colorful solids, a symbol of modernity. In the end, she evolves into a tree, which is a symbol of both death and birth. This transformation, which takes place in a white minimalist room of an art gallery with a Japanese window, is an invitation to enjoy life and the privilege of being.

Logorrea
Logorrea
"Logorrea" is a funny video installation in which the artist, in an endless, breathless and “long winded” interview, explains to the public her art. This video was played in an old-fashioned television unit set inside a fuchsia shopping trolley, like the one that “the frivolous and stylish woman should use to go to the supermarket”. In this interview the artist talks about her beautiful childhood and the most joyful moments of her life as well as about all the events that make each of our lives unique. It is an attempt to express, in a continuous flow of energy, the purpose of her work. This video, enhanced with amusing special effects and sparkling diamonds, was shot and edited by Andrea Giordani in 2009 and was exhibited in the “3D gallery” in Mestre in 2010.
